Charlamagne tha God Joins Dirt Law Radio

November 22, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD EXITS RADIO WITH WENDY WILLIAMS AND JOINS DIRT LAW RADIO

Dirt Law Radio to be the New Home of Charlamagne tha God

Nov 17th, 2008 – Atlanta, Georgia

DJ Judge Mental, mix DJ and creator of Dirt Law Radio, has announced that Charlamagne tha God, former co-host of the Wendy Williams Experience, will be joining Dirt Law Radio, a two hour syndicated mix-show based out of Atlanta, GA.  Within less than two weeks from his release at The Wendy Williams Experience radio show, Charlamagne has found a new home with Dirt Law Radio.

Joining Dirt Law Radio allows Charlamagne to return to the airwaves in his original home market of Columbia, SC (WXBT), as well as in other markets through syndication of Dirt Law Radio.  “I guess people don’t realize I had been doing radio six years prior to connecting with Wendy.  She heard me doing my own show in Columbia, SC, that’s what made her snatch me in the first place. I always wanted to maintain my own show in Columbia, SC as well as do the Wendy situation; however I couldn’t due to contractual reasons.  Now that my contractual obligations have changed, the executive producer Brian Paiz jumped at the opportunity. Dirt Law Radio allows me to express my politically incorrect views and potentially dangerous rhetoric…,” states Charlamagne who still has business ventures with Wendy Williams.

“Charlamagne’s no-holds barred humor is exactly the kind of flavor that I wanted to add to Dirt Law Radio.,” states the show’s creator, DJ Judge Mental.  “Both of us have brutally honest opinions about the music industry and being physically located in two different music markets, Dirt Law’s motto ‘From the Dirty South and Beyond’ will be driven home.  B Paiz suggested the collaboration with Charlamagne and I’m really looking forward to the new sound of the show.”

In addition to airing on terrestrial FM stations, “Dirt Law Radio” can be heard via podcast and online at www.DirtLawRadio.com.

About Dirt Law Radio: Dirt Law Radio is a two hour syndicated mix-show featured on numerous terrestrial FM stations in the US.  It is unique for breaking new music in a non-stop mix and featuring both A-list celebrities and new artist interviews.

Can I avoid the Internet and Just Stick to What I Know?

August 22, 2008

Most artist/consultants are used to the old school method of promoting/distributing records. There is a new age out there and we must understand it.  I found this interesting article over at New Music Strageties and will be referencing them quite a bit.

Any questions about your internet promotion plan, please feel free to contact me at starlitpr@gmail.com

Enjoy!

Artists, please do not tell me that you are serious.  These are actually emails that I receive from artists that claim to have business about themselves.  I’m sorry, but I can not do business with someone who approach people in this matter.  With the internet age, there is easier access to those you may want to get your music to.  However, you must realize that ANYONE may be on your email list.  Is this how you would approach Diddy? Russell Simmons? Lyor Cohen? Clive Davis?  OH WAIT.  I’m sorry, you’re a real G.  That’s how you would approach them regardless.  Then you want to complain why you don’t have a record deal or why no one respects your hustle.  Maybe it’s just me, but I can not do business with anyone that I can’t put on TV right at that moment.  And no, I do not mean Rap City.  I mean commercials, corporate billboards, etc.  Let’s think bigger than this.  This is a business right?  Are you about your business?

As always, I am available to help you with your project.  Any questions, feel free to email me at starlitpr@gmail.com.  Feel free to leave comments below.
